Turquoise Necklace 19” Multistrand, 60g, Stabilized, Color enhanced, 5-7mm
New turquoise necklace I received. No information on maker. Five strands of stabilized turquoise nuggets. Appears to be Chinese turquoise. The clasp was tested, no result. It is not Sterling. I went ahead and did specific gravity testing on the turquoise yielding 2.68, in the range of stabilized turquoise. Acetone pulled blue color. It is a good dye job, no sign of white drill holes. This is color enhanced. It weights almost 60g making it fairly heft. It sits around the clavicle at full extension, making it versatile as a choker or midsize statement piece. The nuggets are small at roughly 5-7mm each, giving it a waterfall effect and a range of tones.
