257 grams Sugilite Rare Vintage Necklace Handmade Handcut Beads Silver Clasp

This is almost an unfathomable amount of Sugilite. I found at a thrift and thought it was a different stone until I was pointed out by a gemologist who knows this gem well. And a couple others have gasped when they’ve seen it. I was going to break it up and make smaller necklace pieces , which is still possible, as I do jewelry design and making. However it was suggested by somebody else who says they know vintage pieces like this should not be broken up. This is 257 grams of vintage authentic Sugilite. The beads are all individually hand cut and polished, there’s even a resting facet on the largest bead, whomever made this was an expert.
