Kenneth Jay Lane was a great chum of the Duchess of Windsor, also known as Wallis Simpson, who was married to the Prince of Wales. Mr. Lane was permitted to reproduce many pieces of the Duchess' famed jewels. He created a line of such pieces in the early 1990's which were a collection entitled "The Treasures of the Duchess"... these pieces were sold exclusively on QVC and are now quite rare. This brooch is from that highly collectible and coveted collection, and is one of the most collectible and hard to find of all the Treasures pieces. This is a reproduction of the famous Prince of Wales Brooch which the prince designed for his bride Wallis Warfield Simpson, in 1935.
